When you grasp this mundane walking cane and use a bonus action to speak the command word, it transforms into a magical +3 Greatsword. You can use a Bonus Action to transform the Greatsword back into a cane, which ceases to be Magical.
Proficiency with a greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
