Weapon (rapier), legendary (requires attunement by a Triton or Half-Triton)

Although once passed down from generation to generation of Tritons, Arcadia finds itself in the hands of any hero worthy of wielding it in times that the Triton people need a champion.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

In it's base form it is a Silvered Rapier but using a Bonus Action to speak it's command word will turn it into a chain whip, dealing 1d6 damage with a range of 15 feet. The chain can be used as rope with 10 HP and a DC 20 Strength check to break. Upon breaking  this way Arcadia reverts to it's Rapier form and cannot use this function until it is submerged within the sea.

Finesse.

When making an attack with a finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.

Ocean Predator

While you hold the weapon, you are aware of the presence of Tiny or larger creatures within 60 feet of you that aren’t constructs or undead. The creature must be in or under water for this effect to take place.

Sentience

Arcadia is a sentient weapon of Lawful Neutral alignment, with an Intelligence of 14, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 14. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 60 feet.

The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Aquan. It can also speak with aquatic animals as if using a speak with animals spell, using telepathy to involve its wielder in the conversation.

Personality

Arcadia speaks with a tone befit of a chastising teacher in which it constantly taking notes of, what it sees as, it's protege. When given the chance to instruct, Arcadia will take it. When given a chance to compliment, Arcadia will mince words with more instruction, turning the honoring into a learning lesson more than anything else.

However, Arcadia has a flaw: overconfidence. Once it has decided on an owner, it believes that only that person should wield it, even if the owner falls short of Triton ideals.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
