This Grateaxe feels old and ancient, but is still very sturdy and doesn't look as if it is going to crumble away anytime soon. The axe head is blackened iron in color but the blade is lined with enchanted silver, and the handle is wooden but stained a deep red. Additionally detailed on the axe head are two wolves, in the middle is a glass ball that's containing what looks to be 12 ounces, or 355 ml, of fresh blood. Additionally there is not a visible opening to the glass ball.
Item Effects:
While attuned this magic Grateaxe. it gains a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it, additionally this weapon counts as silvered and as if it is made out of iron.
While attuned to this Grateaxe, you as a blood hunter can as a bonus action on your turn. Choose to expend 1 of the Grateaxe's 2 charges to regain 1 expended use of your Blood Maledict Feature. The Grateaxe regains it's expended charges back when you take a long rest while attuned to it.
(RP STUFF: During a long rest. If the Grateaxe is able to regain any lost charges, you feel sick and weak. As the Grateaxe is recharging its magical energy from your lifeforce during this time.)
While attuned to this Grateaxe, you as a blood hunter gain the 'Blood Curse of the First Lycan's' for your Blood Maledict feature. This does not count against your number of blood curses known. You lose the ability to use this curse if your attunement ends to the Grateaxe.
Blood Curse of the First Lycan's:
As a Reaction, you curse a creature you can see that you are making a attack against. Any damage you deal to that creature also heals you for half the amount until the end of your turn.
Amplify. Until the end of your next turn. The target's speed is halved, it takes a −2 penalty to AC and Dexterity saving throws, and it can't use reactions.
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
