This vial of colorless and odorless liquid appears to be nothing more than a tiny amount of water. The mouth of the vial is specially made with a small hole, covered by a specially pressed leathery cap instead of the usual cork. This specially made nozzle allows just drops to come out when the vial is turned upside down. If a creature uses an action to place a few drops in each of their eyes the gain the ability to see in the dark for a time. For the next hour, that creature has darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. A single vial of Night Sight Eye Drops contains enough drops for 5 uses of the specially crafted liquid.

If a creature already has darkvision as a racial trait and uses the Night Sight Eye Drops, they suffer immense pain and must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 14). On a success they gain truesight out to 60 feet for 10 minutes, on a failure they are blinded for the next 10 minutes instead.

If a vial of Night Sight Eye Drops is consumed instead of used in the normal fashion the drinker loses their senses of smell and taste for 30 minutes. During this time they are also immune to effects of noxious odors or spells that predominantly debilitate a creature through their sense of smell. If the vial has less than three doses of Night Sight remaining when consumed there is no effect from drinking it.
