The gem of the Infiltrator is a red gem faceted in the torso of a warforged. Once the gem is successfully imbedded, it grants the ability to cloak yourself in the form of others. If you spend at least 1 minutes observing an individual, you can store their form in the gem and it can hold 5 such forms at any one time. The gem has charges equal to your proficiency bonus. As an action, you can use a charge to cloak yourself in an illusion and take on the guise of one of the forms stored in the crystal. The illusion is powerful, and casual observers will not be able to perceive the disguise based on interacting with you or your interactions with the environment. The illusion requires a DC 25 perception check to see through.
The illusion can mask your race, gender, clothing and armor and size. The form you take on can be a size smaller or larger than you actually are. The illusion, when activated, can be modified in subtle ways, such as changing the age, hair and eye color, or the clothing worn. To modify an activated illusion in such a way requires the use of a charge. Although the gem relies on a stored from as a template, the illusion does not create a perfect copy of the original. For example, if you were to take on the form of someone such as Lord Neverember, you would not appear as an exact copy of the original but could pass as a close relative.
The gem charges reset after you finish a long rest. The illusion can be dismissed at will as a bonus action.
Dispel magic can be used on the illusion as if it were a a 9th level spell. The illusion can also be suppressed by an antimagic field.
