Weapon (crossbow, light), rare

This reddish copper crossbow features a side lever to pull back its sand like string. You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, this weapon deals an additional 1d4 necrotic damage per hit, and deals maximum damage when targeting a plant creature or an undead that is comprised mostly of flesh (zombies, mummies, etc).

Ak'rahm unsaddled from his camel and knelt down near the shine he had seen. His companions knew better than to trust the shifting sands, but Ak'rahm was ever curious. He parted the fine grains and pulled out the weapon - a fine crossbow, its metal form tarnished but still in tact. As he went to clean the drawstring it crumbled like sand, before reforming anew. He spun around with a grin on his face and pulled the lever, a single arrow of rusty metal materializing in place. Primordial runes etched into the metal sparked with renewed vigor - 'ashes to ashes, dust to dust, return the wicked to sand and rust.'

Proficiency with a Light Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
