Armor (plate), rare (requires attunement)

While wearing this armor, you have resistance to one of the following damage types: bludgeoning, piercing, slashing or one of the ten magical damage types. You must choose the type of resistance after completing a long rest.

The magical resistance is often accompanied by vulnerabilities, due to its unstable nature.  Roll on the two vulnerability tables below.  If the vulnerability matches the selected resistance, the resistance is cancelled.  The creature wearing the armor is unaware of the vulnerabilities until they take effect.

Vulnerability Tables

Physical Damage D6: 1: Your speed is reduced by 5ft and you have disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws. Roll again, ignoring a 1 or 6.

2-5: None, 6: You gain advantage on Stealth checks and Dexterity saving throws.  Choose another damage type and gain resistance to that type.

Magic Damage D12: 1-Acid, 2-Cold, 3-Fire, 4-Force, 5-Lightning, 6-Necrotic, 7-Poison, 8-Psychic, 9-Radiant, 10-Thunder, 11-Roll Twice, 12-None

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
