This miniature barrel is 4 inches long and weighs one pound. You can use an action to open the barrel, causing random primates to magically spill forth, appearing in unoccupied spaces within 60 feet of you. You determine what appears by rolling a d4 and consulting the table below.

Each primate remains as long as you concentrate (as if concentrating on a spell), to a maximum of 1 hour, or until it drops to 0 hit points. It then disappears.

The summoned primates are friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the summoned primates as a group, which has its own turns. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). If you don't issue any commands to them, they defend themselves from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions.

Once the barrel has been used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
