Anti-Skeleton Key

"This simple iron key has been crafted to resemble a skeleton hand clutching an iron ring, with the arm itself serving as the blade of the key. It was created when an apprentice enchanter made a series of critical but lucky errors when attempting to enchant a magic skeleton key after not sleeping well the night before. This item has changed hands many times since its creation and its existence is a notorious rumor among many thieves guilds."

The anti-skeleton key can be inserted into any normal lock. The lock becomes locked once the key is turned and it cannot be picked or opened by any means (including the anti-skeleton key) other than the original key which matches the lock. Spells such as Knock work normally on locks which have been locked using this item. Dungeon masters are encouraged to use the random feature tables on pages 142-143 of the Dungeon Master's Guide to personalize the anti-skeleton key when it appears in their game.
