When created, this gold-plated mithral plate has images of a Goddess of Valor's symbol etched into its immaculately gleaming surface. The armor requires 24 hours of reflection and prayer to attune itself to the wearer and their patron deity, after which point the images on the armor shift to match the symbol of the wearer’s patron deity (or remain associated with the original Goddess if the wearer doesn’t worship a deity). The armor grants a +3 bonus on saving throws and armor class.
A paladin wearing the armor of the pious can treat their lay on hands hit point pool as if it were 5 x proficiency modifier higher.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
