You splash this acid on two targets within [STR score + 10] feet of you as one action. Both targets must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw. They make a single saving throw for both of them, adding/subtracting the average (round down) of each of their modifiers. On a success, nothing happens, but they know you tried to trick them and might become hostile toward you if not already. On a fail, the two targets become hostile toward each other. Casting remove curse undoes this. Also, this can be undone another way: each time they see each other after 8 hours have passed since they became hostile toward each other, they make a single DC 20 Wisdom saving throw. On a fail, the curse continues. On a success, this effect ends, but they are not hostile toward you and recall only normal things happening while they were hostile.

Posted Feb 28, 2021This seems really cool! I feel it acts more like a poison than an acid, or could even be better used as a spell than a magic item.
My biggest concern for this is that each target makes the same wisdom saving throw. I understand that the purpose is to have it be an all-or-nothing effect, of the two targets attacking each other or you, but this could be abused. If I target a minion and a legendary creature, I force the legendary creature to be unable to use a legendary resistance and force its save average to go WAY down as it has to account for its minion's saving throw. This is why I feel this item may be better off as a spell: with two different saving throws, if one succeeds they're fine, but the one who failed now regards the second target as a hostile. It's like an anti-charm spell. That's my two cents though. Very interesting idea!
