A specially made long lightweight dart, similar in appearance to a very long arrow (about 5 feet long) including fletching and an arrowhead. An atlatl dart is expended as ammunition when used with an atlatl and is drastically inferior when used on its own. Atlatl darts count as improvised weapons if used on their own and do Piercing damage. If used as a melee weapon, roll 1d20 with your Strength modifier. If the roll is 8 or higher, the dart is now broken and can no longer be used. Otherwise, the dart is still intact.
At the end of combat, you may choose to search the battlefield to retrieve all spent atlatl darts. You may also simply make more, in which case they are treated the same as normal arrows for the purposes of crafting.
