Description:

This seemingly ordinary bag, is made from black cloth with white stripes. Reaching inside the bag, however, reveals the presence of a small, black fuzzy object known as a Badger Ball. The bag weighs 1/2 pound.

Rules:

Only one Badger Ball can ever be in the bag at the same time, and can not be put back in once taken out. A Badger Ball can be held by the bag's owner for five seconds before throwing until the Badger Ball activates in their hand. Once a badger ball is removed from the bag, it is replaced by another one 3 seconds later. This can be repeated until three Badger Balls have been thrown. Once three badger balls have been pulled from the bag, a ghostly badger claw comes out of the bag and pulls the drawstring shut. The bag can't be used or opened again until the next dawn, at which point the bag is recharged and ready to produce up to three more Badger Balls.

Use:

You can use an action to pull one Badger Ball from the bag and throw it up to 20 feet. When the ball comes in contact with any physical object, it instantly transforms into a Bag Badger with a small flash of light. The power of the Bag Badger is determined by rolling a d8 and consulting the table. Rolling a 1-6 will summon a Bag Badger , and rolling a 7 or an 8 will summon a Big Bag Badger. See below for the Bag Badgers' statistics. The Bag Badger vanishes at the next dawn or when it is reduced to 0 hit points, at which point it turns into a mist and dissipates away.

Bag Badger Actions:

The Bag Badgers are friendly to you and your allies, and they act on your turn. You can use a bonus action to command how the Bag Badgers move and what action they take on its next turn, or to give them general orders, such as to attack your enemies. Upon throwing a Badger Ball, you get a free chance to command the Bag Badger without spending a bonus action to do so, but only while the Badger Ball is airborne. In the absence of any orders, the Bag Badgers go about their normal badger business, such as finding food, sleeping, or burrowing.

Preemptive Strike:  At the beginning of a fight, you can hurl one Badger Ball into the fight before doing anything else without spending an action if your initiative roll is above a 15.

Badger Bore:

Your burrowing speed is modified by: Current burrowing speed + The burrowing speed of all active Bag Badgers/2
