Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement)

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This mighty blade, with it's pieces finally fused together, takes the shape of a giant executioner's sword. The weapons fuse together so well that the creases between the metal are almost imperceptible. The guard now has a ring on each side, and arcane sigils glow along the entire blade.

While wielding this weapon, you are able to use the previously separated weapon's bonuses with much more ease. You gain the following:

  • You swing your blade forward in front of you whilst calling upon the magic of the dagger. As a bonus action you may choose up to 4 creatures in a 20-foot cone in front of you. Make a ranged attack roll against all of them. On a hit, the target(s) take 1d4+1+Dex slashing damage, and the dagger returns back to the blade, settling back into it's slot.
  • Using the sheer volume of this blade, you are able to redirect attacks before they hit you. As a reaction, you can reduce the damage you take from a melee weapon attack by 1d8. You may use this feature up to a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and cannot use it again until you have taken a long rest.
  • You reach around the side of your blade and grasp the hilt of the shortsword slotted into the side. As a bonus action, you can make two more attacks with the Artificer's Shortsword, one normally and one at disadvantage. You may use this feature up to a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and cannot use it again until you have taken a long rest.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
