Weapon (any sword), legendary (requires attunement by a a creature must make a DC 15 save in their weakest saving throw. On a success, they are attuned immediately, on a failure they take 5d10 force damage and cannot attempt to attune to the sword again for 24 hours.)

The blade of this sword is made of a pinkish metal full of lined patterns similar to Damascus steel. The blade is warm to the touch. It's cross guard, handle, and pommel are all made out of pitch-plack metal. On the blade a series of three runes are carved down the middle. When you attune to this weapon the first of these runes begins to glow. This weapon may use your Strength or Dexterity stats to hit, but may not be wielded with two hands.

This weapon has three states:

Dormant:

While attuned, you gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While the sword is on your person, you also gain the ability to see into magical darkness out to 60 ft.

Awakened:

You now gain +2 to attack and damage roles made with this weapon. The middle rune begins to glow. While drawn the blade gives off a faint glow which illuminates everything within 5 ft. of the wielder in dim light.

When the sword reaches this point it's personality also begins to show. It desired to be used by a powerful being for important business and speaks to it wielder in the form of an airy whisper. It will often speak during time deliberation will encourage actions which cause chaos and change. The sword will not attempt to dominate its wielder, but may with hold its benefits if it does not feel it's wielder to be worthy of its power.

Exalted

The final rune begins to glow, though less brightly than the first two. You now have +3 to attack and damage rolls with this weapon. While this weapon is on your person you now have truesight out to 60ft. Lastly you gain the following:

Wish. The sword has a 2 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 charge and cast the wish spell from it. This property can't be used again until the next dawn. Each time this property is used a other rune grows dim. The charges may be replenished by casting wish on the sword and the sword can hold up to three charges.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
