Weapon (sickle), artifact

Dave was a kind man with a nice and familar smile behind the bar in his tavern. He served all who came through the door and made them feel welcome. If you had asked anyone about him they'd have told you nothing but good things. Which meant it was all the more surprising when a trader came passing through and, noticing the hamlets silence and lack of people, entered the tavern to find bodies strewn everywhere brutally disfigured with blood everywhere.

When the local constabulary came to investigate they found in the tavern basement this sickle bathed in dried blood and hundreds of books. Turns out Dave hated the neighbors guts and kept a record of their 'misdeeds' , from Tom giving him an odd look or Calahandra forgetting his birthday.

This sickle is a +3 weapon. Its blade is coated in old blood stains that cannot be cleaned and its handle though dry still feels slick from it. When you pick up the weapon you must make a wisdom saving throw DC 16. If you succeed nothing happens. If you fail you are cursed and cannot get rid of the weapon and begin to despise those around you.

In addition, on a fail you must make another wisdom save DC 10. Roll 10 or more nothing happens and you roll again the following dawn. 9 too 4 you feel compelled to inconvenience your fellow party members and any npcs that are with you. Discuss what this will be with DM and on the following dawn roll again.

If you roll a 3 or less you will feel compelled to kill your party members. Roll a d8 to determine how many days you will take before you snap. When those days pass you will turn on your fellow party members in a blind rage using any means at your disposal to end them. You gain the effects of Raging and also gain temporary hitpoints of an additional 4 hitdice of your class. If you are defeated and knocked unconscious or killed you are no longer cursed.

Proficiency with a Sickle allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Notes: Light, Nick
