use an action to speak the amulets command word (Ichosu) and a non willing creature must make a WIS Saving throw (DC 15) or be pulled into the necklace where the creature will be kept in a state of suspended animation until you use an action to speak the command word again and release the creature. If the creature is unconscious then the amulet will automatically succeed.
