The Ankheg's carapace can be fashioned into armor with an AC of 17 plus your DEX bonus (max 2), STR of 13 required. The benefit is it is classed as Half Plate/Medium Armor and comes without the disadvantage on stealth.

It requires a full Ankheg without damage to fashion the armor, (DM to deiced if the body is salvageable). Cost to craft is 800gp if you can find someone capable of crafting it.

Cost to purchase a complete set ready made is 1,800gp.

Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
