Weapon (halberd), very rare (requires attunement by a if attuned by a cleric or paladin there is no curse )

This scythe is the symbol of one chosen by the Old God Blight, the lord of Plague and King of Pestilence, it is a Scythe that normally looks like a staff however when attuned one can "draw" the weapon and a spectral green blade bubbles out of the side.

If not attuned it has the stats of a quarter staff, Proficiency with quarter staffs allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it. 

This is a plus two magic weapon. Proficiency with halberds allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

When you first hit a target you can mark them with the Hex spell, on a second hit on the hexed target they must make a DC 17 Con save or be poisoned for one hour this is repeated on every hit in till it take effect, if poisoned on a hit the target must make a DC 12 con save or be Blinded and Deafened for one minute, this repeats on every hit in till the Blinded and Deafened takes effect. 

On every hit after a target is hexed and on any target you gain one charge to a maximum of 6. If there is no Hexed target the Weapon has zero charges and can only hold charges after a target is hexed.

When the hexed target is poisoned and Blinded and Deafened you can spend one charge to cast the inflict wounds spell at first level after you hit a target that is not the Hexed target when you use this ability you can spend three charges to use the Blight spell at fourth level with the DC 13 on a different target, that is not the hexed target or the current target, you can have the target repeat the save for one extra charge and you can do this intel you run out of charges or the target fails the save. 

anything killed by this weapon will become subject to the Animate Dead spell. 

CURSE: This weapon is cursed, and becoming attuned to it, if you do not follow the old god Blight (there is no curse if you are a cleric or paladin), extends the curse to you. Until the curse is broken with grater restoration, you are unwilling to part with the weapon, keeping it within reach at all times. Note: you can unattune to this weapon but you will still have the curse. 

Whenever you roll a 1 on an attack roll using this weapon, the weapon feeds off of you. Make a new attack roll with advantage against your own AC . If the result is a hit, you take damage as if you had attacked yourself with the inflict wounds spell at first level, you also gain one charge if you have a hexed target. 

You only benefit from half of any magical healing (min of 1) and drinking a healing potion gives you the poisoned condition in till you take a rest of any kind. 

Proficiency with a Halberd allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
