Tapping into healing energies flowing through the Material Plane, with this item you are able to bathe (or shower) in the pleasures of a long rest.
Liquid fuel - You can pour or drive any liquid through the tap as long as it flows properly (e.g. honey doesn't work) and if it is not toxic or harmful towards creatures. Toxic or harmful could be lava, poison, acid, etc.
You can add Liquid fuel in any way you can manage to make it obey the laws of gravity, pressure, or magic from the root of the tap, then after 6 seconds open the Tap and let its liquid flow on a creature or fill a watertight space. If it's not possible to immerse a creature in the bath or to get them under the Tap for showering due to their horizontal alignment, it takes 5 additional seconds of sprinkling for the effects to start taking effect. Unless the person applying the Tap to an unconscious creature is in contact with its water for more than 1 minute, none of the below benefits are applied and they don't use their daily charges.
Note: To use the Tap on an unconscious creature, an unprepared Gaia's Lifestream Tap would require 11 seconds in total to begin restoring their hit points, and they would need to make 1 more saving throw unless stabilized first.
Long rest - Once every day, if they have not taken a long rest in the past 4 hours or a short rest in the past 2 hours, the creature bathing or showering with the tap benefits from all effects of a long rest if a creature spends at least 15 minutes in contact with the water.
Short rest - Twice every day, after expending the Long rest feature of the bath, a creature can benefit from all effects of a short rest. And if they are missing hit dice, they can regain 1d4-1 hit dice if a creature spends at least 15 minutes in contact with the water.
The user of Gaia's Lifestream Tap cannot decide to only use its Short rest powers before the Long rest effects have been applied. Failing to stay in or under the Tap's water for the required time cancels its effect, however, if a creature has been in contact for more than 1 minute, a charge is used. The charges are creature-bound, and reset every day at dawn.
