Armor (shield), uncommon
if you are within 5 feet of a friendly creature who is being attacked, you can spend your reaction to block for them and they will use your armor class instead. However if you are attacked after doing so before your next turn you don’t get the bonus from your shield.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
