This magnificent battleaxe has runes all along the hilt and a symmetrical pattern on the two bladed portions of the axe head. Whenever you hit a creature with an attack from the Axe of Empathy, you immediately get dealt the same amount of damage. Then you and your target are both healed for the amount of damage dealt, instantly reviving anyone who died from this attack. The axe hopes you have learned your lesson. (Being healed by the axe cannot give you more hit points than you had before the attack, nice try.)
Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
