A ring made of a material not native to this plane, it sits on your finger and seems almost to ripple in time with your heartbeat as if it were made of liquid. If you gaze into the black recesses of the ring long enough you can see the beauty of the Cosmos itself and the vast expanses of all the planes of existence dancing above your head. But past these gorgeous vistas, deep in the black voids between the stars, you glimpse at the infinite eyes of Ethereus, the Bringer of Truth, gazing right back at you.

When a spellcaster is attuned to this ring they are able to cast polymorph on themselves. However, the ring allows the bearer to cast off the boundaries of mortal flesh and ascend to a higher state of being. When cast, the bearer can transform into an Aberration of a challenge rating equal to or less than their Level.

However, seeing the Tapestry of Reality as the Deep Ones do is taxing on the mind of mere mortals and can result in unpleasant side effects. When wearing this ring, the bearer has Disadvantage on all Wisdom Saving Throws. Additionally, the bearer reduces their Wisdom Score by the challenge rating of the Aberration they just became until their next Long Rest. 

If your Wisdom is reduced to zero in this way you withdraw into a chattering sleep filled with nightmares and remain this way for 8 hours.
