This short, heavy spear has two protrusions (called "lugs") below the blade on the spearhead which function as a way of keeping the speared beasts at a controlled distance. Boar spears are normally used to hunt aggressive game, but it's also an effective weapon for aggressive monsters.
Special. When you hit a creature with large size or smaller with this spear, you can make a contested Athletics check against the target, pushing it 5 feet back if you win.
Proficiency with a Pike allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
