Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Requires attunement)

Bloodseeker is a bastard sword with a very dark blade. One half if a very dark red, almost black, while the other is a shining silvery colour. It has a jewel encrusted hilt of twisted black steel, on one side a flawless ruby with a spectral swirling within and a diamond that glitters as if the sea sits within. It has the base stats of a longsword.

The sword is a sentient artefact thats disposition changes based on the players actions. The voice is that of a woman whose voice grows louder the more it is used. The voice can choose whether it is heard by more than just the wielder. As the user uses the sword more and more it grows in power, how it does so however depends on the actions it is used for. If the player is merciful and avoids potential combat the sword gains more damage for when it is needed. Every time the sword gains power the diamond begins to hum and grow brighter for a few seconds. For every 10 successful charisma checks the sword gains an additional 1d4 for its damage roll. This maxes out at 10d4. Once that power is reached the sword can be used continuously at that level or it can be used to cast a powerful  apex spell called Make Peace. Make Peace has a 50 for radius and effects all within (unless they fail a DC 15 Charisma Saving Throw). All effected are stunned for their next round and the wielder of the sword can take a bonus action to speak and attempt to stop the fight with advantage on the charisma check. The first time this happens, the sword speaks its name; Peacekeeper.

If the player goes the opposite way and chooses a more violent path the sword changes as well. For every killing blow the sword delivers the ruby grows and the swirling within intensifies. When it hits a target the blood from the blow swirls in the air and is absorbed by the blade. The blade gains an additional 1d4 for its damage rolls for every 10 killing blows it delivers to an enemy that has blood. This maxes out at 10d4. Once that power is reached is can be used continuously at that level or it can be used to cast a powerful apex spell called Bloodbeam. This is a line attack with a range of 50 feet and hits all in its wake. The spell does 10d8 +30 necrotic damage where a beam of blood blasts from the tip, half as much if the victims succeed a Dexterity Saving Throw. The first time this happens, the sword speaks its name, Bloodseeker.

The sword cannot gain bonus damage dice from both means and the sword will try to gauge the character upon its first meeting. If the character strays from its original style of engagement then the sword will lose and bonus die and reset. Once the sword casts its first apex spell, it will no longer be usable in the opposite manner and will be true to its name, even after it has a new wielder. Depending on its relationship with its previous user, it may mourn them or even be glad to be rid of them.
