The Material Plane Cubic Gate Face can be attached to a Cubic Gate Core as part of the assembly of a customized Cubic Gate. Only the most talented of arcanists, astral travelers, and artificers are capable of constructing such a device, and the magical item does not begin to function until all six faces have been keyed and assembled.

A customized Cubic Gate cannot contain any more than one Material Plane Cubic Gate Face, and no customized Cubic Gate can function without a Material Plane Cubic Gate Face.
