Dormant
The wielder gains a +1 bonus to attack rolls made with this Magic Weapon, and deals additional damage equal to 1d6 Slashing. This damage ignores normal resistance to Slashing damage.
Quick Draw - You can add your proficiency bonus to your Initiative rolls.
At the start of your first turn in combat, your walking speed increases by 10 ft which lasts until the end of that turn. If you take the Attack action on that turn, you can deal an extra 3d6 slashing damage on your first attack.
Deflect Missiles - When hit by a ranged weapon attack you can use your reaction to deflect the missile. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + your level.
Awakened
The bonus to attack rolls increases to a +2, bonus damage increases to 1d8 Slashing, Quick Draw bonus damage increases to 6d6
Blade Brake - By jamming your blade into a nearby vertical surface, you can use your reaction when you fall to reduce any falling damage you take by an amount equal to five times your level
Razor Wind - The sharpness of your blade cuts the air itself. You may now make ranged attacks according to the Thrown Weapon rules to deal 1d10 Slashing damage without the sword leaving your hand, instead cutting a crescent shockwave through the air each time. (This feature does not add bonus damage)
Exalted
The bonus to attack rolls increases to a +3, bonus damage increases to 2d6. Quick Draw bonus damage increases to 9d6
Slash Dash - You may now make 1 melee attack while using the Dash action on your turn.
- If, when using this feature, you enter into melee range of an enemy, hit with a melee attack, and then leave the enemy’s melee range (provoking an attack of opportunity) all on the same turn, you may choose to use Final Slash Dash: At the start of its next turn the enemy takes 10d10 Slashing damage which ignores resistance.
(This can stack with Quick Draw)
Final Slash Dash may be used only once per Long Rest
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Posted Jan 4, 2022Hello! This is an attempt to allow a character to play as a stereotypical anime swordsman. I originally looked at multiclassing or making my own subclass, but the specific abilities I had in mind were few enough that a Vestige would work instead.
As far as balancing:
Quick Draw is based on the Dread Ambusher ability for Gloom Stalker Rangers, with damage from a Rogue's Sneak Attack (but only once per encounter)
Razor Wind is basically a thrown weapon you don't have to retrieve
Final Slash Dash is an attempt to make the Single-Stroke Battle work (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SingleStrokeBattle), and the damage is based on a powered-down version of a Monk's failed Quivering Palm (powered down because it happens then and there, rather than days later somewhere on the same plane)
Feel free to use or modify for yourself, and have fun!
