Amulet of Doors

While attuned to this amulet, you can use an action to place an impervious magical door on a flat solid surface you can touch. The door naturally assumes the color of the surface upon which it was cast. Spotting a door requires a DC 15 perception check. The door can be dismissed, opened, or shut as a free action by the attuned and creatures it designates. A door may also be dismissed by dispel magic, vanishing immediately. 

The door has no keyhole, can only be magically locked or unlocked, and can be assigned a passphrase.

Once opened, each door will lead to an demi-plane which is plain stone walled 15 x 30 ft room with 1d6 active doors. Where these doors lead initially is DM discretion. Each door, upon inspection, reveals a peephole through which a PC may make a perception check to gather information about what's beyond the door. No sound can be heard through the door while it is shut.

Up to 6 doors can be maintained without additional resources. Placing a new door while at 6 active doors or above requires a 3rd level spellslot and an intelligence check DC of 14 + (number of active doors - 6). On a fail, 1d4 doors are randomly dismissed. Creation of a new door can be done once per day, resetting at dawn.

If all doors are dispelled or dismissed, roll a d6. On a 1 the amulet cracks and can no longer easily support 1d4 doors. The skill check to establish a new door comes into play that much sooner. If all 6 doors can no longer be supported, the amulet breaks and becomes magically inert. Any time there are no doors active the pocket plane collapses and all contents are thrown out at the last door's location similar to a bag of holding turned inside out, however there are no interactions between a bag of holding or a portable hole with the door (their respective interactions can still take effect as normal).
