Arcanomechanical gears appear to mesh with the base clothing in a seamless fashion, rotating tiny metal plates to cover vulnerable areas as the need arises. This modification offers barely any visible changes from the outside of the garment. Although leather pieces were used in its construction, you can tell it is primarily made from spare clothing you had in your trunk. You can also tell that it has slots in the gears and plates, suggesting possible future upgrades being available.
The breastplate and shoulder protectors of this armor are made of leather that has been stiffened by being boiled in oil. The rest of the armor is made of softer and more flexible materials.
