Weapon (dagger), legendary (requires attunement by a humanoid creature that has bear hands)

Very ornate curved dagger. The blade is magically sharp and never dulls. Holding it causes the bearer to become somewhat perpetually drowsy until it is put away. The blade also causes the wielder to really admire them, whenever someone tries to put it away they must succeed a DC 13 Wisdom Save or completely forget that they are still holding the weapon.

If the bearer succeeds on a melee attack, the target must make a DC13 Constitution Saving throw or become incredibly drowsy and be knocked prone.

If the bearer misses a melee attack, they become additionally tired. The DM rolls 1d12 behind the screen for each miss, until the sum exceeds the wielder's current hp. At this point the target immediately becomes irresistibly tired and proceeds to pass out in the middle of combat. The target is fast asleep, and can only be awoken by a successful DC18 medicine check made by anther PC or NPC attempting to awaken them. Otherwise, the wielder will remain asleep for 1 hour, but upon awakening will have all the effects of a long rest excluding health regeneration. Each time a player undergoes this effect, the number of hours they remain asleep the next time increases by 1d4.

Killing any living creature with these knives will cause you to become incredibly alert, unable to sleep for the next 1d20 hours. The wielder will also have disadvantage on Perception Checks relying on sight during the day and will have advantage on Perception Checks relying on sight during the night.

Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
