Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement by a requires an hour of target practice with the bow to properly use in combat.)

A red longbow with yellow carvings of a dragon etched along both sides. deals 1d8 piercing damage on hit unless the enemy is flying (at least 5 feet off the ground, they can be falling) in which case they take an additional 2d8 fire damage, and the attack roll has +1. This weapon critically hits on a 19 as well as 20. effective range is 150 feet or 600 at disadvantage. Upon landing your first critical hit against a flying unit the weapon will awaken, revealing its sentience. Its voice sounds like a a very old elven man. it speaks very formally, and of the past (depending on your setting it could be hundreds of years old) initially once awakened it expresses its glee in a capable master. If asked its name it is used to being called The Aerial Bane but it does not mind being named by its owner. It has an intelligence of 14, Wisdom of 18, and a charisma of 10. its alignment is true neutral, as it cares only about its master and their goals instead of others. its sentience is NOT revealed if the weapon is in any way identified.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
