This incredibly heavy armor is covered in designs and symbols of the All-Father. It is also covered in metal slots to add gemstones of various sizes. While wearing this armor, you have disadvantage on athletics checks.
Once per dawn, the wearer of this item can activate the Aegis, giving them resistance to all damage, advantage on athletics checks, and a +1 to hit on attacks using strength for 1 minute. Doing this drains the infused gemstones in the armor, requiring them to be refilled with a total of 20 spell slots. (Consult your DM for the infusion process)
If the wearer of this armor suffers a critical hit while the Aegis is active, roll 1d100, if the roll is higher than the wearers current HP total, the gems in the Aegis crack, the remaining time left on the active effect is halved, and the gems will need to be replaced before they can be infused once more.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
