This fearsome weapon is a longbow forged by the Drow and blessed by Myrkul. The longbow resembles a curved spine with a blood red draw string. It was designed to be the ultimate weapon of assassination, and not even its string makes a sound when released.
While attuned to this bow, you have darkvision out to 320 feet.
All arrows shot from this bow are considered magical. If not supplied with an arrow, the bow will spawn its own arrow out of black energy.
The Bow of Ash and Woe is a +3 magic weapon. You have +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls you make with this weapon. When you hit with this weapon, you deal an additional 2d8 force damage.
Split Shot: On the first attack of each turn, you can have your shot split into 1d4 arrows. You must make separate attack and damage rolls for each arrow.
Ashen Shot: Twice per long rest, as a single attack action you may infuse an arrow with the Disintegrate spell. You cannot combine this with the Split Shot effect. The attack roll of this shot replaces the Dex Saving Throw for Disintegrate.
"Death frees us from even ourselves."
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
