Amulet of Rightsize

The Amulet of Rightsize was originally created by Gnomish wizard Trian Golperlobs as a way to both tower over her Gnomish compatriots and to be able to ride her Mage Hand without using spell slots. The amulet is a mechanically articulate set of golden scales with a stack of onyx rocks on one scale and a humanoid figure made of ruby in the other.

The amulet is enchanted with a modified version of the Enlarge/Reduce spell. The modified version of the spell still requires that concentration be held to maintain the effect, but the size changes that are caused by this item do not alter the damage caused by the wearer's weapons nor does it give them advantage or disadvantage on Strength checks or Strength saving throws. If the user's attunement to this item ends, any active size alterations also end.

As an action, the wearer may change the balance of the scales. If the scales are balanced, the wearer will remain at or return to their original size. If the humanoid figure weighs more than the rocks the wearer and their equipment grow, their size doubling in all dimensions and their weight increasing to eight times the original value. If the humanoid figure weighs less than the rocks the wearer and their equipment shrink, their size halving in all dimensions and their weight decreasing to one eighth the original value.
