This peculiar item, which at first resembles a simple deflated children's toy, shimmers with a hint of enchantment. At will, you may tug on the balloon, and say a color. The balloon will instantly change to that color. At will, you may also tug on the balloon and name a person, animal, or object. The balloon will then color and tie itself in a way that may resemble that shape. (Roll a d12.)
You may take a minute to inflate the magical balloon. While the balloon is inflated, it gently floats near you on a magical string. While it is inflated, you are considered to be under the effects of the Feather Fall spell and do not suffer fall damage, but cannot gain advantage on stealth checks.
Once per short or long rest, when you finish inflating the balloon, you may tug on the balloon and speak a command word. If you do, you slowly rise off the ground, levitating. You exit stealth and gain 10 feet of flying speed for 1 minute, traveling a maximum of 100 feet before the effect ends, at which point the balloon will slowly begin to deflate, finishing after you safely land.
If the balloon is lost or damaged, it will instantly deflate and reappear in your inventory, and if damaged, slowly mend itself over the course of a short or long rest.
