Weapon (crossbow, heavy), rare

A series of brass gears and slide-levers attach to a tarnished metal quiver on the underside of the barrel between the trigger and the foregrip. After pulling the trigger, the quiver can be slid back, resetting the string and depressing the flight groove simultaneously allowing a bolt to slide up into the flight groove on the return slide of the quiver. The auto-quiver holds 6 bolts and takes 1 round to refill the quiver and 1 round to reattach. While there are still bolts left in the auto-quiver, the crossbow ignores the loading property. As a bonus action, after pumping the auto-quiver, a second shot can be fired but suffers a -5 penalty to hit and as a rushed action has to be at the same target.

Proficiency with a heavy crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
