The dark hilted blade has a strong thick strip of adamantine metal creating a straight longsword appearance. Etched into the magical metal are runes channeling the elemental power of the storms.
The adamantine sword is famous for destroying other magical blades in combat, and when the storms form in the sky, this blade shines with a light blue sizzle and spark around the sharp edges.
It was made with a sister sword, when they collide, the lightning explodes and transfers into a powerful thunderous echo into the skies.
In the storms fury, the blade crackles softly with lightning and gives soft flashes occasionally. These flashes can be dimmed by the concentration of the wielder.
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
You also gain +1d6 lightning damage on each melee strike.
The blade grants the wielder resistance to lightning damage.
As a bonus action, providing you use your action to make 1 melee strike against a target, and add the effects of Shocking Grasp to a hit.
This weapon has 5 charges with which you may use the following abilities:
"Lightning Strikes Twice" On any turn in which you take the attack action you may use your bonus action and 1 charge to make an extra attack against the same target that was hit by the previous attack. This attack gains advantage on that same target.
As an action, you may use 3 charges to cast "lightning step" which is a lightning bolt DC 15 and you can teleport to any point along the path.
As a reaction, when you take elemental damage, you may instead take half damage as per the spell absorb elements. If the damage was lightning or thunder, the energy reflects back to the original source and deals half of that damage back to them.
On a Critical Hit targeting an object or item, that item has a 25% chance of being broken or destroyed as long as it too is not made of adamantine.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
