Designed by Karhan Forgekeeper, High priest of Moradin, and developed by him and King Oren of Leone, this Arcane Array Batterty is the miniaturized version of the Arcane Generators which power all Magitech.
The raw arcane power is held inside this contraption by a combination of special obsidian glass from the glass beaches of Arvandor's Exit, A platinum-steel alloy which enforces the housing and Thin wires made from Adamantine.
Obsidian glass: The obsidian glass from the beaches of Arvandor's exit hold a special property. The glass has been known to rebound spells cast at it and therefore makes for an excellent storage apparatus. Why this glass has this special property is unknown, but volcanic glass gathered from other regions has not yielded this property.
Platinum-Steel Alloy: The glass is too fragile to be handled as a battery without a proper housing. Therefore a sturdy material is needed. Platinum is highly resistant and doesn't bend in much with force, which could crack the glass. To make the make the battery cost-effective, it is mixed into an alloy using steel.
Adamantine Wiring: Thin wiring of adamantine is used to cunduct the arcane power within the battery. If the wiring is damaged, the battery no longer functions.
Throw/smash: A DC20 strength check, or if it takes 20 bludgeoning, lightning, force or thunder damage in one turn will cause the battery to be destroyed and cause it to explode in a 30ft radius. Everyone in this radius must make a DC15 strength saving throw or take 10d6 force damage and be knocked prone. Afterwards, a sphere of 30ft will remain and cause magic in cast in the area to become wild. Casters must roll a d20 when they cast a spell. On a 5 or lower, they must roll on the wild magic table once. The fields remains for 1d4 days.
Arcane Focus: When attached to an arcane focus designed to fit these battery's the casters spell attacks and spell DC gain a +1.
