Description

The wearer of this belt can, at night, assume the likeness of a greedy, devouring wolf, strong and mighty, with eyes great and large that sparkle like fire in the night, possessing a mouth great and wide, with most sharp and cruel teeth, a huge body, and mighty paws. 

The wearer's ability scores are replaced by those of a dire wolf, including mental ability scores, but they retain their personality and alignment.

Attunement

In order to attune the belt, the user must kill a dire wolf and make a belt from its hide during the full moon. The intended user must then agree to enter into a pact with the devil, Mephistopheles, ruler of Cania in the Nine Hells. Only the creator of the belt of the dire wolf, or their direct descendant, has the ability to activate the power of the belt of the dire wolf. The belt can only pass to the descendant of the current owner when said owner dies. The descendant must then reaffirm the original pact, or enter into a new pact, with the devil, Mephistopheles, in order to use the power of the belt.
