This amulet is named for Orc god of War & Strength, Bahgtru. His symbol, a broken thigh bone, is etched on the surface of the amulet. Priests say the amulet has inside it a drop of blood from Bahgtru spilled during a 3 day battle with Torm.
When attached to a melee weapon and attuned, the attuned can use a reaction to ensure the weapons next attack is a critical hit. To do so the attuned must also sacrifice 20% of his hp maximum. His hp maximum falls by a like amount until finishing a long rest. Note at end of first long rest, hp maximum is regained but current hp will be below maximum. Normal healing can now occur.
After a critical hit occurs, the amulet falls off the weapon and that weapon may never benefit from amulets magic again. Reattunment and reattachment must occur for a new melee weapon. An individual may only benefit from two attunements ever.
