This artificial eye replaces a real one that was lost or removed. While the all-father's eye is embedded in your eye socket, it can’t be removed by anyone other than you, and you can see through the tiny orb as though it were a normal eye.
The eye has 1 charge. While embedded in your eye socket, you can use an action and expend the charge to speak its command word. For the next minute, you know the location of all hostile creatures within 60 feet of you. The eye can sense the presence of hostile creatures that are ethereal, invisible, disguised, or hidden, as well as those in plain sight.
The effect ends early if you attack, cast a spell, use a bonus action to dismiss it or you fall unconscious.
