Dormant
- The wearer gains a +1 bonus to AC.
- Unseen Hunter: The wearer gains advantage on stealth checks
Awakened
- The AC bonus increases to +2
- Unseen Hunter now lets the wearer move silently; perception checks that rely on hearing automatically fail to detect you.
- Adaptive Physiology: The wearer can now cast the alter self spell 3 times per day, recharging the ability to do so at dusk. This use of the spell can only produce animalistic features.
Exalted
- The AC bonus increases to +3
- Unseen Hunter now causes the wearer’s form to shift to match its surroundings; while you remain motionless, perception checks that rely on sight automatically fail to detect you.
- Adaptive Physiology now lets the wearer cast alter self at will, however it retains its previous limitations, but now doesn’t require concentration.
- Apex Predator: As an action, the wielder transforms into a predator of unmatched prowess for 1 hour; their movement speed increases by 20 feet, gain a climbing speed equal to this new speed and all of their attacks deal an extra 2d6 damage. This feature cannot be used again until the next dusk.
Curse. This armour is cursed and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the armour, keeping it on at all times. Additionally, the wearer must hunt prey and consume its raw flesh and blood at least once a day. If the wearer goes 24 hours without doing this, they must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or else become feral. While feral, the wearer considers all living creatures prey, and will go on a killing frenzy for 8 hours or until they drop to 0 hit points.
