Alexithytite Stone

This alexithytite stone looks like a matte black rock approximately the size of a peach. A faint fog of the darkest grey can be seen gathering on the stone's surfaces and falling off after gathered into sufficient mass, like water from a spicket. However, the fog falls up as if under reversed gravity and dissipates into nothing after only a few inches. 

This item, if on a person at the time of casting an Enchantment, Illusion, or Necromantic spell, enhances the spell being cast. If the spell requires an attack roll, add +1 to the roll. If the spell requires a saving throw by any and all affected, add +1 to the DC. 

This stone can be used to replace the material components of an Enchantment, Illusion, or Necromantic spell with a value of up to 300gp. This feature of this stone can only be used once per day and recovers at the next dawn. If the stone is not on the Prime Material Plane or in the Shadowfell, this stone does not recharge as the requisite natural magic energy is not present to recharge the stone.
