Aegis

Hundreds of years of research. Countless hours of study. An inconceivable amount of failiures. All for one small, yet infinitely important and powerful, object. 

Sapience.

 Before, only humanoid races were considered Sapient. Humans, Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, a so forth. Sentient objects have been known to exist for millennia, but none of them had the capacity to apply logic and reason to their thoughts or have the ability to imagine. Aegis breaks the mold.

Aegis is a sapient artificial intelligence that is identified as a Construct. Created from a series of very complicated array of enchantments stored within a specially designed crystal, Aegis is an arcaeniological feat of wonder, as he boasts several abilities that no other sentient item has. For starters, Aegis has hearing and darkvision for up to 120 feet and can see through magical darkness, can also move on his own with a fly speed of 60 feet, and has an Intelligence of 27, Wisdom of 24, and Charisma of 21. He also has the ability to speak every humanoid language as well as being able to communicate telepathically with it's user over a distance of 5 miles and anyone it can see within 500 feet. It's enchantments also give it a flying speed of 45 ft. Though Aegis is created with the capacity to have his own free will, he does have an underlying directive to protect his user and to assist them when needed. He has a Lawful Good alignment.

Aegis also is constantly under the effects of the spells Detect Magic and Detect Evil and Good. Aegis can also cast Locate Object, Locate Creature, Detect Thoughts and Shield at will.

However, Aegis, with all of it's capabilities, can still be destroyed. He has an AC of 22 and has 30 HP.
