Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damge rolls made with this weapon, and when you hit a target with this weapon, the target takes an extra 1d8 fire damage, damage taken this way ignores resistance to fire damage. In addition, while you hold this sword, you have resistance to fire damage and damge done by Demons. 

As an action, you can present the sword and say the command word. When you do this, you know the location of any fiends within a 1 mile radius. The range increases to 5 miles if the fiend is a demon. You can reuse this feature when you complete a short/long rest. 

When you roll a 20 on your attack roll to hit a creature, that creature must make a DC 19 Charisma saving throw, the target has disadavntage if they are a fiend. On a success, the target takes an extra 2d8 force damage. On a failure, the creature suffers the effects of the Banishment spell. (No concentration required.) You can choose to end the banishment as a bonus action. 

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
