This is a unique sword made from a strong and light metal that resembles silver, the luminous blade emits a faint light. A longsword with a mild curve and faint magic aura to it. Once belonged to the ancient Warmage Ryma-el, it is one of the pieces of her Regalia of the Arcana. It is believed to grow in power when used in conjunction with the Arcana Shield of Ryma-el. Unfortunately it is effected by the sands of time and the magical gems adorning its surface giving it power has long been lost. (Can be upgraded if the magical gems are found)
While holding this magical sword you have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
Proficiency with a longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
Arcana Blade of Ryma-el counts as an arcane focus for spellcasting purposes, it does not hamper somatic components of casting, it has the finesse* property.
Abilities;
- When you successfully hit an enemy with the Arcana Blade you can draw upon a spell slot of your choice to increase the damage you inflict by 1D8 per level of the spell slot used (Maximum of 5th level slot for 5D8), the damage type can be Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison or Force depending on your choice.
- *Finesse: When making an attack with a Finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the Attack and Damage Rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.
Ryma-el's Regalia of the Arcana
While wielding both Arcana Blade and Arcana Shield of Ryma-el you gain the following benefits;
- Arcane spells does not require somatic or verbal components to cast.
- Mage Armor spell is permanently cast on the wielder.
- The wielder gains the effects of War-caster Feat**.
- You can use Arcana Deflection*** ability. It has 5 charges and regains 1d4 charges at every dawn.
**War-caster Feat:
- You have advantage on Constitution saving throws that you make to maintain your concentration on a spell when you take damage.
- When a hostile creature's movement provokes an opportunity attack from you, you can use your reaction to cast a spell at the creature, rather than making an opportunity attack. The spell must have a casting time of 1 action and must target only that creature.
***Arcana Deflection:
- When you are hit by an attack or you fail a saving throw, you can retroactively use your reaction to create a magical sphere around you to gain a +2 bonus to your AC against that attack or a +4 bonus to that saving throw potentially causing the attack to miss or the saving throw to succeed.
- If the attack bypasses the protection of the sphere and the user takes damage, a force wave pushes back every hostile creature around the user 10 feets away and causes them to take 1d12 force damage on a failed Dex save (based on spell caster's spell difficulty). On a successful save the creature is not pushed back and takes only half damage.
- When you use this feature, you can’t cast spells other than cantrips until the end of your next turn.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
