Armor (chain mail), legendary (requires attunement)

You have a +2 bonus to AC while wearing this armour.

While attuned to this armour you may use a bonus action to touch the signet embossed in its centre to activate it. While active the armour retracts and detaches itself from your body and comes to life, while animated the armour defends you to the best of its abilities using a chain-link sword formed from itself and wields it as a weapon. All attacks against you have the disadvantage, however, you lose all other benefits gained from wearing the armour.

The armour has a HP of 36 and deals 1d12+4 slashing damage, the weapon it carries has the Reach property. It's DC is 17 and it has a walking speed of 20ft but if the armour moves further than 10 ft from you it falls to the ground. If you move beyond the range you must reactivate the armour the same way. When the armour drops to 0HP roll a d100, on the roll of a 1 the armour splinters and its magical abilities are lost. The armour takes its turn after yours.

When a creature makes a melee attack against you while this armour is active, it can use its reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the attacking creature.

Made of interlocking metal rings, chain mail includes a layer of quilted fabric worn underneath the mail to prevent chafing and to cushion the impact of blows. The suit includes gauntlets.
