Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement)
A perfectly round, white pearl rests in a silver icosahedral cage, the pearl reflecting everything around it in a strange, pale distortion.
Dormant
The pearl grants the following benefits in its dormant state:
- You can speak, read, and write Elvish, Dwarvish, Halfling, Gnomish, Undercommon, Draconic, Orcish, and Goblin.
- The pearl grants you a +1 bonus to AC.
-
Whenever you are attacked by an undead creature, that creature must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, that creature must choose a different target for the attack. If it cannot attack another creature, it takes 2d6 force damage.
Awakened
When the pearl reaches an awakened state, it gains the following properties:
- The AC bonus of the pearl increases to +2.
- The pearl grants advantage on saving throws against effects caused by undead or departed souls.
- You can cast the speak with dead spell once using the pearl. When you do so, you instead open a line of communication with the body's soul, rather than returning an animating spirit to the body. Once you cast this spell with this trait, you can't cast it again this way until the next dawn.
Exalted
When the pearl reaches an exalted state, it gains the following properties:
- The AC bonus of the pearl increases to +3.
- The pearl grants immunity to necrotic and force damage.
- Whenever you make an attack roll against an undead or force an undead to make a saving throw, you gain 4d8 temporary hit points.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Buff, Utility
this is a pretty nice item i like the flavor the last exalted is a bit strong but that´s fair
