This amulet was created for Count Bedmoor Zarovich by the cult of Asmodeus in exchange for an undisclosed fee. The young count had grown up sickly and weak and so found this item extremely useful. Unfortunately it could do nothing to save him when the Wailing Death swept through Neverwinter.
The pendant is shaped into a fiendish face with a ruby shaped like a drop of blood held on its extended tongue. It has a heavy chain of cold iron.
The amulet allows you to cast false life life on yourself at will as a 1st-level spell, without expending a spell slot or material components, while you wear this amulet.
Wicked. When the bearer is presented with an opportunity to act in a selfish or malevolent way, the item heightens the bearer’s urge to do so.
Hungry. This item’s magical properties function only if fresh blood from a humanoid has been applied to it within the past 24 hours. It needs only a drop to activate.
