This Rapier was first forged by Ballek the wondering sorcerer. He used a wand for the handle making it easy for wizards to cast the spells through it like an arcane focus. Depending on the type of magic being cast through it the residuum crystals, located in the hand guard, will glow different colors. When not in use the residuum crystals cycle through the visible color spectrum, almost pulsing unless you are trying to hide. If you are trying to sneak up on a target the crystals will darken to not give away your position.
Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
